Open Studio starts Friday
The quilt below comes from Hayley of Warrnambool, Victoria, and is being quilted with the budget leaf meander pattern. The bottom quilt was delivered by Margot from Blackall who is visiting Toowoomba for the Carnival of Flowers. The quilt will be ready for pickup tomorrow, and is being quilted with the dragonflies pattern.
Hearts pattern on king size batik quilt
This king size batik quilt was made by Marty from Warrnambool and is being quilted with the budget I Love It trailing hearts e2e pattern.
Friday finished at last
The first two photos are of Betty’s quilt. Betty is a long standing customer, now in her 80s and putting this kit together was a little beyond her. Kathy helped put it together and it is being quilted with the bush berries e2e machine quilting pattern. The Japanese quilt comes from Carmen at Brookstead and is being quilted with the frisky feathers e2e, while Jacki from Warrnambool is having he r batik quilt done with the feather fanfare e2e pattern.
Quilts arrive from south of the border
Back in the studio today and these two quilts were the first ones to be quilted. The first quilt is from new customer Jean from Warrnambool, Victoria, and her quilt is being quilted with the triloba e2e machine quilting pattern. The log cabin quilt is from Michelle of Callaghan, NSW and is being quilted with the Baptist fan e2e.
Third generation quilt from Warrnambool
Lara’s striking Kaffe Fassett fabric quilt from Warrnambool marks the third quilt to arrive from three generations of the one family. Lara asked for the Yin Yang e2e machine quilting pattern in a mid-tone blue thread.
Due to rising overheads we regret having to increase our set-up fee from $25 to $27.50 per quilt from today.
Double the fun at KoolKat
The first quilts are two with a Mickey Mouse theme fabrics from Glenda of Toowoomba and these are being quilted with the budget meander e2e machine quilting pattern. The next two quilts are form a mother and daughter team at Warrnambool, Victoria, the lime quilt is from Andrea and the pink quilt from Cheryl – the lime quilt is being quilted with the daisy chain e2e and the pink quilt with the cute curls e2e. The Japanese fabric quilt is another quilt from Glenda, and this one is being quilted with the maru bishamon e2e.
Quilts from far and wide.
Today’s quilts come from far and wide along the eastern side of Australia. The quilt with the rectangular blocks comes from Andrea at Warrnambool in Victoria which is being quilted with the Maru Bishamon e2e machine quilting pattern. The middle two quilts came from Anna from a property near Miles on the western downs (Fireflies and Deb’s Swirls), and the bottom quilt from Johnelle at St George (Not square e2e).
