This is the first quilt KoolKat Quilting has received from Mavis at Roma. Mavis asked for a quilt label and blue backing suitable for a male. We supplied Blue Crisscross backing and used the prickle patch e2e machine quilting pattern.

Music and floral applique
Today’s quilts feature a musical theme quilt for a music lover and a floral applique quilt. The bottom quilt comes from Pam of Toowoomba who chose charcoal thread, a red Caribbean backing and the daisy chain e2e machine quilting pattern. We chose the flower puff e2e machine quilting pattern to compliment the applique in Janette’s quilt which arrived today from Roma.
Big quilt from a big country
This is Sue’s king size quilt from Roma. It will be a wedding gift. She asked for a western theme, or something with stars, so we chose the stars and loops e2e machine quilting pattern. We teamed this with a deep red backing and matching thread, after ensuring Sue was happy with a strong thread colour.
Peg’s fairy quilt
Peg from Roma asked us to choose so Kathy of KoolKat decided the Fireflies e2e machine quilting pattern in a hot pink thread would suit this fairy quilt. We matched it with a spray paint hot pink backing fabric.
Final quilts for the year arrive at KoolKat this week
Quilts arrived from Roma (left) and Wandal, Rockhampton today. This is our last quilting week for the year.
Quilting jobs for today at KoolKat
The first three are small quilts are from Eve at Roma. Eve asked for budget e2e machine quilting patterns, and with her savings, she asked KoolKat to attach binding to one side only (for later hand-sewing) of her quilts. The other quilt is part of bed quilt and pillow set sent by Jo from Rosewood. It is being quilted in the paisley playtime e2e machine quilting pattern.
