Quilts from far and wide.

Today’s quilts come from far and wide along the eastern side of Australia. The quilt with the rectangular blocks comes from Andrea at Warrnambool in Victoria which is being quilted with the Maru Bishamon e2e machine quilting pattern.  The middle two quilts came from Anna from a property near Miles on the western downs (Fireflies and Deb’s Swirls), and the bottom quilt from Johnelle at St George (Not square e2e).

Quilt sashays in from Banora Point, NSW

This colourful sashiko quilt from Trish at Banora Point, NSW is being quilted with the dragonflies e2e machine quilting pattern.  KoolKat Quilting chose a charcoal thread to blend with the background of the sashiko panels and this has minimal impact as the photos above demonstrate.  We also use this technique for applique, candle-wicking, red-work or any similar quilting where there are feature blocks.

Two quilts, one with blue, one with red borders, arrived from Elizabeth at Quirindi in NSW today.  The blue quilt has a nautical theme and we chose the plush e2e machine quilting pattern http://www.koolkatquilting.com/about-our-quilting/our-quilting-patterns/

For the second quilt we chose the stars and loops e2e.  Win from Cairns sent the purple quilt and she asked for the budget I Love It trailing hearts e2e.
