Our market stalls for the first half of 2019

Our first market stall will be at the Grantham Butter Factory as part of The Crafters Expo on March 9. Don’t forget our rag rug making workshops, if you are interested.

We will then go to Harristown State High School auditorium later that same month (March 24) as part of The Handmade Expo.

On Sunday May 11 we will return to Forest Hill as part of The Handmade Expo, then back to Toowoomba on June 2nd.

These dates are just part of what we’ll be doing this year, and we will keep you posted.

Rag rug making workshops at The Crafters Expo

Kat from KoolKat will be running two rag rug making workshops on March 9 at The Crafters Expo on Saturday March 9.  The Crafters Expo is held every two years and was booked out in 2017.  If you have seen Kat demonstrating rag rug making at our stall at various craft markets last year, or you missed out two years ago, now is your chance.  Please contact The Crafters Expo direct regarding bookings as these must be placed through their site.  We cannot take bookings on your behalf.  The March 9 workshops are the only ones we have planned for 2019, so if you are interested, please take this opportunity.   We will have also our usual stall at The Crafters Expo.

Seasons greetings from KoolKat

Seasons greetings from KoolKat

Thank you once more for being our customer this year.  Kat and Geoff hope you have an enjoyable and safe break over the festive season.  If like us, you are wanting rain, we hope it rains at your place (as well as in Toowoomba).

KoolKat will be closing from Monday 17 and re-opening on January 7 next year.   There are a couple of quilts still on their way to us, and these will be completed when they arrive.

Aboriginal theme quilt, bohemia e2e pattern

The first quilt was made by Kathryn from Prince Henry Heights and features Aboriginal theme fabrics and design.  It is being quilted with russet thread in the budget meander pattern.  The second quilt is from Gerry at Coburg and is being quilted with the bohemia e2e machine quilting pattern.
