KoolKat at new premises
Latest News KoolKat Quilting
KoolKat Quilting has restarted from new premises today 2/2/2024.
Please use our PO Box 18 Harlaxton 4350 to send quilts. For Highfields only we will pick up and collect by prior arrangement for a fee of $10.00.
PLEASE CHECK THE FOLLOWING
Please don’t expect us to find you have changed your email or any other address and haven’t brought this to our attention, especially during a busy period. If you haven’t received our usual prompt email say within one week, please follow up yourself, especially when the emails we send to an apparently valid address don’t bounce.
Secondly absolutely no 2″ wide material binding.
ONLY ever 2 1/2 ” – 2″ is too hard to work with, especially our machine method of double sided binding.
Thirdly CHECK the perimeter of the quilt, THEN be generous with the binding length you send.
We haven’t charged for the inconvenience, but may do so in future.
CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A couple of things to take note of:
1. For reasons of location, we will be ceasing the drop and pick up facility. This will mean there will be no drop off and collection box..
Highfields 4352 customers will be offered a delivery service at $10 by prior arrangement only. Our new street address will not be on our new letterhead. There will no longer be any face to face contact or drop off and collect facility at our new address.
2. If we judge that all of the quilts arrive at different times, and they could arrived together, we will charge for that repeat posting. You can avoid this by ensuring items arrive together in ONE parcel, even using tape to strap two parcels together.
3. We are now recovering costs for use of credit cards. To avoid this you should be using bank, or EFT transfer.

Please make sure you do the following

If you haven’t received our usual prompt email say within one week, you should asking yourself why, especially the emails we send to an apparently valid address don’t bounce.
That is just a common courtesy, and just bring to our an attention to any change you have made by choice.
Secondly absolutely no 2″ wide material binding.
ONLY ever 2 1/2 ” – 2″ is too hard to work with, especially our machine method of double sided binding.
Thirdly CHECK the perimeter of the quilt, THEN be generous with the binding length you send – we’ve had avoidable errors from at least 2 customers which needlessly complicated our time.
Hopefully this will make your check what you are doing regarding this.
We haven’t charged for the inconvenience, but what did happen was a needless waste of time, which only put stress on the single person doing both my job and hers for a brief period of time.
She had enough stress to deal with without it being added to by avoidable errors.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
A couple of things to take note of:
1. For reasons of location, we may cease the drop and pick up facility. This will mean there will be no drop off box, but we may consider a collection only if circumstances require it.
Our preference is to move from a consultation/drop off area to being on-line only. Our new street address will not be on our letterhead for example. If you are a first -timer, you get just one chance to meet us face to face, and we require a specific time. You don’t for example, expect to say “I’ll be there sometime in the morning “ to your doctor or accountant, and expect that appointment to hold. We’re busy people, and often plan down to the minute. We ask only you extend this courtesy in return.
Summarising that, your responsibility is to specify a particular time and keep that appointment. We will not answer a knock at the door without this. We are not a shop,we are a factory, just to be clear.
2. If we judge that all of the quilts arrive at different times, and they could arrived together, we will charge for that repeat posting. You can avoid this by ensuring items arrive together in ONE parcel, even using tape to strap two parcels together- this is why we do it, it is cheaper for one thing. Similarly if you send a quilt separate to the order you intend, it is actually a hindrance rather than a help. To avoid this is to say, hold the other 1-2, there is one or however many more to come, we will hold the order until we get all of them.
Once again if we judge you could acted to ensure these could been sent at the same time AND in the same parcel, we will charge for that second posting.
To put it simply, one get one free delivery not two for an order that should have come together.
3. We are now charging what we are entitled to charge for fees on credit cards. To avoid this you should be using bank, or EFT transfer.

We can fix that.
Send your quilt tops to us during November and we will send them fully finished- binding in place – ASOLUTELY FREE.
Just go to our website, fill out our order form including ticking the section on binding (single or double-sided) and get it in the post.
Binding will only be done if you have ticked this section.
Quilt job done and Merry Christmas to the lucky person receiving your gift.
Opening and closing times in July 2023
Opening and closing times in July
Please note the KoolKat studio will close from July 1 for three weeks. We will re-open Monday July 24.
Thank you everyone who participated in our 20th Anniversary March Madness sale. You certainly kept us very busy.

KoolKat Quilting business opportunity
KoolKat Quilting business opportunity |
Do you see yourself owning and operating a home-based, established quilting business? The owners of KoolKat Quilting, Kat and Geoff Adams are offering, for the first time, KoolKat Quilting, for sale. As you probably know, KoolKat has been operating since 2003 – 20 years! The business includes 2 large fully computerised Statler Stitchers. These are the leading industrial quilting machines, capable of truly formidable turnover. There is a fully functioning website, a sizeable list of return customers, and a simple and reliable system for running the business. You do not need advanced sewing skills, as the business is 100% all-over or edge-to-edge computerised quilting. However, there is scope for adding more complex quilting to the business and the machines are more than capable of doing this. The business is transportable. It is primarily mail order, so customers send work to you wherever you are. The space required to operate is no larger than a standard double garage! Why are we selling? Simply put we are not getting any younger, and we’d like to retire. However, our customers are assured that it is business as usual and when a new owner is appointed, we offer training to the same exacting standards that you have enjoyed. If you see yourself in this picture, working from home and enjoying giving great service to lots of wonderful customers, please contact us for an information package about the sale of KoolKat Quilting.
