Budget I love it, leaf meander, ribbon candy and deb’s swirls patterns

The blue quilt and the small floral cot quilt were delivered by Coral from Pittsworth yesterday.  They have been quilted with the budget I love it trailing hearts pattern, and the cream quilt with the budget leaf meander e2e machine quilting pattern.  The pink quilt was made by Lyndie from Rosewood and is being quilted with the budget ribbon candy pattern.  The final quilt came from Courtney at Southbrook and is being quilted with the budget deb’s swirls pattern.

 

 

 

 

King size quilt with debs swirls, and gossamer and sticky buns patterns

 

 

 

 

 

The king size quilt made by Molly from Roma is larger than the standard king size wadding (3.1m) and quilt backing fabric. Joined pieces were added for backing and wadding.  It is being quilted with the deb’s swirls e2e machine quilting pattern.

 

The purple quilt was made by Janelle from Kearney Spring and is being quilted with the gossamer e2e pattern.  The red and black quilt made by Barbara, comes from Roma, and is being quilted with the sticky buns pattern.

LAIDLEY SPRING FESTIVAL The annual Laidley Spring Festival is on again showcasing the spring delights in the Lockyer Valley from Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th September. Laidley Spring Festival will bloom bigger and better this year with a number of exciting activities lined up for the event. The theme this year is ‘Songs of Yesteryear’ and the Lockyer Valley is set to shine. Celebrations will kick off on Thursday 6th with the Spring Orchid Show, Lockyer Valley Artists’ Exhibition, Quilt and Craft Expo, Church displays, Das Neumann Haus, Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum, markets and artisans pop up shops officially opening to the public. Quilt and Craft Expo, Laidley Uniting Church * This expo showcases some of the best quilts you will see in South East Queensland. Displayed in the Laidley Uniting Church, you are welcome to amble through, soaking up the colours, patterns and themes of the quilts. Each one is made by a very creative person with a passion for their craft. The Uniting Church also offers demonstrated crafts for sale and The Courtyard Café – a huge dining area with a menu for both morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Bookings are preferred to avoid disappointment. Entry fee is $5 to the Quilt and Craft Expo, entry to the grounds with the Courtyard Cafe, market and craft stalls is free.
