The Australian Patchwork and Quilting Magazine 2015 Annual is out now. One of the feature articles is a review of the inaugural Queens Park Scouts Quilt Show in Ipswich. KoolKat Quilting was pleased to be invited to participate in this event.

The big and the small, all come to KoolKat Quilting
The Union Jack quilt is from Cheryl of Ipswich and she asked for a budget quilting pattern, so we chose the loop-d-loop e2e machine quilting pattern. The batik quilt is a new design from Kathy Adams, it will feature some applique after quilt with the budget ribbon candy e2e. The next 3 are cot quilts from Lea at Robina, quilted in various budget patterns. Oliver’s quilt was made by Loretta from Roma who will collect her quilt tomorrow after dropping it off this morning. This is part of the KoolKat service to our customers from country areas.
Quilts from NSW to Mount Isa in NW Queensland
Quilts today come from far and wide as well as local. The striped quilt is from Helen in Mount Isa and this has been quilted with the paisley playtime e2e machine quilting pattern. The black and green quilt is from Merryl of Highfields and this has been quilted with the plush e2e. Next is Trish’s quilt from Banora Point, NSW which is being quilted in the budget leaf meander e2e. The pink applique quilt comes from Sandra of Toowoomba and is being quilted with the roseleaves e2e pattern.
On the long arm machines today at KoolKat
The Kaffe Fasset quilt comes from Jane at the Gold Coast and is being quilted with the Daisy Chain e2e machine quilting pattern. The next three quilts were dropped off yesterday by Vicki from Brookstead on the Eastern Darling Downs and were quilted in several different budget range e2e patterns.
Quilts from Toowoomba
The quilt with the embroidery hearts comes from Jocelyn, who asked up trim around the edge of the blocks with the embroidery. She chose the daisy chain e2e machine quilting pattern for this quilt. The second quilt is from Margaret and she chose the not square e2e pattern for this quilt which is for her grand-son.
Some unpicking before we can start quilting
Lyn from Chinchilla brought us this quilt which has been sitting in her cupboard for 12 months. First we had to us pick the quilting which had been commenced as our machine quilting works with separated layers – quilt top, batting and backing

Lyn chose the budget I Love It trailing hearts pattern and asked to finish the quilt by binding both sides. She will collect this quilt today or Monday prior to returning home.
New quilt from Kathy Adams of KoolKat Quilting
The first quilt is a scrap quilt made by Kathy Adams of KoolKat Quilting and has been quilted with the not so square e2e machine quilting pattern. The flannelette quilt was sent by Michelle of Callaghan in NSW and she chose the budget Deb’s swirls e2e pattern.
From the Western Downs to the East
Annette from Pittsworth sent this quilt with circles featuring positive and negative spaces which is being quilted with the paisley playtime e2e machine quilting pattern. Loretta from Roma sent the pinwheel quilt which is being quilted with the plaza e2e pattern.
Stars for a star quilt
Karla from Toowoomba has embarked on a project to make quilts for her family. This star quilt is being quilted with the stars and loops e2e machine quilting pattern.
Quilts from Ipswich to St George
Estelle from St George asked for an embroidered quilt label and KoolKat chose the plush e2e machine quilting pattern for her quilt. Shannon from Ipswich dropped off the purple and green quilt on Saturday and it is being quilted with the daisy chain e2e pattern.
