Bali Magic from Boonah
This is Jo’s quilt made using fabric and the Bali Magic pattern designed by Kathy Adams purchased from the KoolKat Quilting stand at Boonah quilt show. It is being quilted with the leaf meander e2e machine quilting pattern.
Quilts on the hoof at KoolKat
More quilts during our final week for the quilting year at KoolKat. Leading the mob is the equine themed quilt from Margaret of Mundubbera which is being quilted in the Plush e2e machine quilting pattern. The top right quilt comes from Kerry of Coburg, Victoria, while the other quilt is from Julie of Toowoomba.

Quilts arrived from Roma (left) and Wandal, Rockhampton today. This is our last quilting week for the year.
Thursday KoolKats Club
The Thursday KoolKats Club, Kathy’s quilting group which met at her studio on most Thursdays, held their break-up meeting for 2014 this week. Kathy has decided to step up her creative projects next year and as a result meetings of the Thursday KoolKats are suspended for 2015. However, Kathy will be planning a series of quilting workshops to be held at her studio, details will be announced next year. KoolKat Quilting is taking bookings for next year’s series of travelling workshops, and hope that recent rain is bringing some joy to the parched areas we visited this year. Details of the workshop program can be seen below.

This white quilt from Julia ta Karana Downs is being quilted in a meander pattern in white thread.
Quilts from the coast to the Darling Downs
The first two quilts are from Ann of Forest Lake, Brisbane, while the pink quilt comes from Lyndell of Tara on the Darling Downs, and the purple quilt is another from Sandy of Highfields.
A High Country Quilt
Amanda from Highfields had this quilt delivered today. It is for her son aged in his early 20s, and she suggested a range of patterns that were “not floral”. We picked the clouds e2e machine quilting pattern and used a sky blue thread.
